Arsenal have narrowed their search for a new manager ahead of a crucial meeting with majority shareholder Stan Kroenke, reports say. Kroenke will sit down with the Arsenal board members in the coming weeks to discuss who is suited to take over from Arsene Wenger. Arsenal play just one more game under Wenger’s rule and the club have been actively searching for his replacement for several months.
With the meeting with Kroenke approaching, only five names remain on the shortlist. Former players Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta make the cut while Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is also a serious contender, according to the Mirror. Arsenal are keen to appoint a young successor to Wenger, but former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has priced himself out of the job.
