Patrick Vieira is unhappy with Arsenal after holding talks with the club’s hierarchy about replacing Arsene Wenger as manager, according to reports. Mikel Arteta is the leading candidate to succeed Wenger, with reports claiming that the former midfielder has already held talks with Arsenal chiefs. Arsenal are also understood to be exploring alternative options and Carlo Ancelotti reportedly has a pre-agreement in place with the Gunners, should they move on from Arteta. According to Sky Sports, Arsenal have contacted Vieira this week in a bid to gauge his interest. But the report claims that the former Gunners captain, who played an integral role in the Invincibles team, is ‘disappointed’ by the approach and views the talks as a just a ‘token gesture’ from Arsenal.
